FLORALS are no longer the go-to this spring as industry experts divulge what is fashion forward in Cairns.
The biggest Cairns Amateurs high tea event kicked off on Thursday. Almost 500 well dressed ladies and gentlemen booked to attend the sell-out event.
Prior to the event, leading stylist Pip Addison said she would be curating the parade with Myer outfits and showcasing all the new season fashion.
“I love a block colour especially in suiting and twin suits, you get lots of outfits out of it.
“You can change it up and make it really dressy or you could wear it with a sneaker and a T-shirt and you have a day outfit out of it.
“With prints, once you’ve seen it, you’ve seen it.”
Juanita Soper, event MC, said this year’s event was the biggest in their history.
“I love hanging out with the girlfriends, I love the bubbles and I love the fashion. It’s a lot of fun,” she said.
“There’s a sprinkling of men there which is good to see.”
