Conrad Sewell to perform Firestone 10th Anniversary: Acoustic Sessions at Edge Hill Tavern

Australian pop star Conrad Sewell will take the stage in Cairns later this year as part of his Firestone 10th Anniversary: Acoustic Sessions regional tour.

Sewell, who rose to fame with hit song Firestones in collaboration with Norwegian DJ, Kygo, said he was “stoked” to be coming back to Cairns later this year.

“It’s nice to get back out there and play these songs in the way they were written in a stripped back way,” Sewell said.

“Tickets have been selling really well and it feels like everybody’s excited to come out – there’s a bit of nostalgia to the music.”

The Healing Hands singer, who toured Cairns in 2020, said the tour was his way of saying thank you to the people who supported him throughout the past decade.

“It’s been a wild 10 years, lots of highs, and a few lows … its just been a journey and it’s nice to look back on and think of the amazing places this song has taken me and the career it’s taken me to,” he said.

Sewell said regional tours were important to connect with fans and he was looking forward to coming back to the Far North.

“It’s the only way to make a living when you’re making music … you’ve got to go out and play to the masses and put the work in,” he said.

“We came (to Cairns) in the last regional tour and it’s great, such a beautiful part of the country,” he said.
