Burdekin quad bike accident: Colevale farmer dies in farm tragedy

A farmer is believed to have made the heartbreaking discovery of the body of his son, who died in a horror quad bike accident on a rural Burdekin property some time before.

Queensland Police Service confirmed they were responding to what initial reports indicated was a single-vehicle rollover on the rural Burdekin property on Monday.

Queensland Police Service said the victim in his 30s had been pronounced dead following a single-vehicle rollover on a property on Jack Road, Colevale, on Monday.

A QPS spokeswoman confirmed the father of the victim had made the grisly discovery.

It is understood the fatality may have occurred on Sunday.

The QPS spokeswoman said the death was being treated as a workplace accident.

She said the Forensic Crash Unit was investigating.
