Brighton and Norlane man treated following separate assaults overnight

Police are investigating two separate assaults in South Geelong and Norlane overnight.

Police are appealing for information about two assaults that occurred across Geelong overnight.

A 23-year-old Brighton man was found on Moorabool St in South Geelong at about 4.45am today.

“It is believed (he) was assaulted in another location prior to being found on Moorabool St,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined.”

The Brighton man received non-life-threatening injuries and was assessed on scene by paramedics.

An 18-year-old Norlane man was also assaulted at a home on Tennyson St at 10.40pm on Saturday night.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The circumstances around the assault are yet to be determined.

“At this time, it’s not believed the incidents are linked,” the spokesperson said.
