Police believe two bodies found following a motorbike crash are the two young men who were reported missing six days ago.

Two bodies believed to be young men who were reported missing six days ago have been found following a motorbike crash.

Emergency services were called after reports of a motorbike crash at Harrington Rd, Harrington about 9am on Monday.

Police discovered the two bodies at the site about 345km north of Sydney.

While the bodies are yet to be formally identified, police believe they are the two men – aged 20 and 21 – who were reported missing from Taree on the NSW Mid North Coast on August 20.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area as Harrington Rd is expected to remain closed for several hours.
