From the Northern Rivers to the Mid North Coast, the region’s richest – and poorest – schools have been revealed.

An independent analysis of school financial records from the MySchool website have shown the massive amount of money some schools make every year, and how little some schools are forced to scrape by on.

The statistics have been determined by the total gross income recorded by each school in a five-year period, and take into account the total income per student.

The analysis does not include special schools or schools that did not have complete financial data in MySchool for one or more of the five years between 2018 and 2022.

The figures include all fees, charges and parental contributions as well as State and Federal Government funding and any other private sources over the five-year period.

It does not include any deductions for capital works or debt servicing.

Topping out the list including the Tweed, Northern Rivers, Clarence Valley, Coffs Coast, and Mid North Coast districts, the Tweed’s Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School raked in $153.6 million in a five-year period, closely followed by $136.2 million for Camden Haven High School in Laurieton on the state’s Mid North Coast.

Out of all districts surveyed, the Tweed’s Carool Public School has the poorest income of $2.3 million, followed by $2.4 million for the Northern Rivers’ Collins Creek Public School and Coffs Harbour’s Hernai Public School.
