Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School in Terranora had better primary results than any other school in Tweed, scoring an average of 522.6 across the five test subjects.

Lindisfarne principal Stuart Marquardt said he was”delighted by the strong NAPLAN results achieved by our students”.

“The results come about as we strive for continuous improvement and build a strong teaching and learning culture” he said.

“I congratulate our students on their continued progress, the staff on their excellent teaching, and our parent community for their ongoing support.”

St Ambrose Catholic Primary School in Pottsville was the second best performing primary school in the region with an average score of 518.8, while Sathya Sai College in Murwillumbah was the third best with an average score of 516.8.

Tweed Valley Adventist College media spokesperson Michele Wilson said: “We are proud of our students at Tweed Valley Adventist College and we were pleased with our Year 9 NAPLAN results from 2022.”

Ms Wilson said the results were “a reflection of students who are motivated to do their best, teachers who care for our students and parents who are supportive of our school”.

“At TVAC we aim to develop the whole person which is outlined in our College Mission Statement – In the footsteps of Jesus Christ … to increase in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and men. Luke 2:52”, she said.
