Woolworths worker reveals handy trolley hack in TikTok

A Woolies worker has shared a clip, revealing this handy trolley hack that could just be a “game changer”.

How many times have you shopped at your local Woolies store wishing there was a somewhere to put your bags in the trolley?

Or maybe you’re one of those people who dump your handbag inside the cart, taking up much-needed grocery space?

If you said yes to either of those statements you will be pleased to know there’s actually a solution – and it has been staring you in the face.

A Woolworths worker has revealed an ‘easy-to-miss’ feature on all trolleys at the supermarket that may just change the way you shop.

Employee Liam Kirley, who runs the chain’s TikTok page, shared a video that explained there is a hook at the back of the trolley, opposite the handle.

It is designed to hold your shopping bags as you roam the aisles.

“There are also these convenient hooks on the trolleys to hang your reusable bags while you shop,” he said in the clip which has been viewed more than 55,000 times.

The hack came as a surprise to some TikTok users, with one shopper writing: “Am I the only one who never knew there were hooks on the trolleys? Game changer.”

“Liam, what would we do without you,” another person joked.

There’s also a handy feature in the Woolies app that allows customers to set reminders to take their reusable bags into store.

“If you’re like me and you forget your bags you can set a reminder from the Woolworths app to tell you when you arrive at store to get your bags,” Liam said.

He also shared the correct way to store Woolworths’ reusable green bags, so they last as long as possible, by folding them in half.
