A woman has been charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse of a minor she met at a funeral after she allegedly groomed him.

A 20-year-old woman has been charged after she allegedly groomed and repeatedly sexually abused an underage boy she met at a funeral.
Ayla Gonzalez Salinas, from the US state of Florida, is accused of messaging the boy – who is aged between 12 and 16 – on social media after they both attended a memorial service last November, the New York Post reports.
After making contact with the child, Ms Salinas is alleged to have raped him “multiple times” in December last year and then attempted to cover her tracks, according to charging documents obtained by 12 News.
She was arrested in January after text messages were uncovered where the pair allegedly “agreed they should get their ‘story straight’”.
The texts also reportedly included the claim the underage boy initiated the sexual relationship and mentioned how many times they met.
Ms Salinas has since been charged with seven counts of lewd or lascivious battery of an underage victim.
The incident comes after a Florida nurse lost her medical license after her husband allegedly “walked in” and caught her sexually abusing his 15-year-old son.
Alexis Von Yates, 35, was charged with engaging in “unlawful sexual activity” with a minor in December last year.
Police records state officials received an anonymous tip just days after the alleged sexual abuse occurred in July 2024 that “included information that the (alleged) child victim’s father had walked in on the incident”.
The healthcare worker has denied the allegations and is currently awaiting trial, but last week had her medical license revoked by the State of Florida, Law & Crime reported.
It is claimed Ms Yates abused her stepson while he was visiting his father for the summer, according to the local Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident is said to have taken place after the stepmum put her two children to bed on July 26, 2024. Her husband Frank was working late that evening at his job as a lineman.
It is claimed she then hung out with her 15-year-old stepson in the living room, according to documents, where they then smoked a THC vape – a chemical found in marijuana plants – and played video games together and watched movies.
But at around 1am, the stepmother turned on a horror movie and then is alleged to have “seduced” the minor — declaring the movie was boring and stating how “horny” she was.
In statements given to police, the boy claimed she told him she was sexually frustrated because “she had not had sex in two weeks and she was on her period”.
The pair then cuddled, with the 15-year-old said to have kissed Ms Yates first on the neck before it progressed to mouth contact.
At this point, it is claimed Ms Yates allegedly told the boy: “I wish you were 18, because you’re not old enough”.
Ms Yates then “kicked off” her underwear and the pair engaged in oral sex and intercourse without a condom, according to the affidavit.
About this time, Frank came home from work and is alleged to have discovered his wife and son on the couch, completely naked.
The nurse has been charged with felony lewd or lascivious battery, more commonly known as statutory rape, with a victim age 12 to 16. She has pleaded not guilty but has since lost her job.
