Lovehoney has given us some insight into what towns around Australia are getting up to in the bedroom. The horniest suburbs may surprise you.

Ever wonder what people around Australia are into?

Which suburbs are into bondage, fantasy dildos, penis moulding? How are peoples’ sex lives different in the mining towns, coastal towns and big cities?

Lovehoney has given us a peak into bedrooms across the country with their 2025 Sex Map, and the horniest areas are probably not even close to where you would expect.

So which locations have the sexiest populations?

Horniest Australian locations

Port Pirie, SA 

The country’s horniest town’s population of 7500 people are buying more sex toys and accessories per capita than any other Aussie postcode.

Airlie Beach, QLD

A popular spot for backpackers and school leavers, the coastal town is the second sexiest in Australia. Residents here also bought the most amount of bondage items of any town.

Port Hedland, WA

Members of this town bought the third highest amount of sex toys per capita, and the second most dildos.

Branxton, NSW

This Hunter town is really getting into role play, buying the second most costumes in Australia.

Mount Isa, QLD

Residents of the outback town are not only buying the fifth most sex toys of any Australian location, they’re also buying the ‘most realistic vaginas’, and dildos with an average length of 7.1 inches.

The sexiest states and territories

Tasmania

Tasmanians are buying more sex products overall. The state is into a bit of everything – buying the most anal sex toys, bondage products, gags, monster dildos and extra large condoms per capita than any other state or territory.

Queensland

Placing in the top 13 per cent of total purchases, the Sunshine State is also making a lot of sex purchases. Residents of Gympie are purchasing the most costumes, while Toowoomba is getting into restraint with chastity devices. 

Queenslanders were also mixing it up with their lube preferences. While six of the eight states and territories are buying strawberry flavoured products, people living in Queensland apparently prefer a variety pack.

Western Australia

With five of the top 20 horniest towns in Australia, Western Australians are buying up sex accessories. Perth is loving fantasy dildos, Geraldton is dressing up in nurse costumes, and Karratha is trying out penis moulding kits.

New South Wales

Although New South Wales residents are buying the fourth highest amount of toys and the most lube of any state, the Premier State is also home to Boat Harbour and Buronga, which are buying the least amount of toys and dildos.

South Australia

Despite being home to the sexiest city in the country, South Australians are in the bottom 38 per cent of total sex accessory purchases. The state is buying the smallest dildos on average, and its capital is purchasing the most sex dolls.

Australian Capital Territory 

The sixth sexiest state is mainly buying up vibrators, lubricants, male sex toys, realistic dildos and butt plugs.

Victoria

Home to only one of the top 20 horniest towns in the country, Victorians are buying the second lowest amount of sex toys from Lovehoney. Residents of Wangaratta and Daylesford were awarded the safest towns awards though, buying the most and largest condoms of any location. 

Northern Territory 

While its population is buying the least amount of sex products per capita, people in the NT are buying the biggest dildos.
