"She has been through A LOT in her short life already"

The mum, Brittany, wrote: "I love Bluey. My whole house loves Bluey. I have a biological son who's two and an adopted daughter who's eight. She's been through a LOT in her short life already. She is probably the most Bluey obsessed in our house. I realised today that Bluey covers so many situations and does it in the most amazing way. Divorce, child loss, parenting different personalities, different life situations and family dynamics. But no adoption...

"My question is, is there an episode or plan for working a minor character into the show that's been adopted? This probably isn't the way to let the creators know what I asked but possibly someone from the group or someone in Australia or another country who has access to all of season three episodes and give me hope to see her represented."

She concluded by saying, "I know there are a million different lifestyles, abilities, home lives and just general situations and expecting Bluey to represent them all is impossible and I won't be sad if a character isn't going to exist. Just speaking this into the universe..."

"They're different breeds"

The post quickly gained a lot of attention, with many agreeing with the mum and saying they'd love to see adoption represented in the series too.

However, the heartwarming part is that Bluey already has episodes that explores adoption, through the character of Missy.

Parents flooded the comments section to share the good news, informing the mum about the episode in season three called Pass the Parcel and another one called Pirates in season one.

"I just watched Pass the Parcel and you'll notice the parent of Missy I think is a Shiba. Breeds are completely different, implying she is adopted," one mum said.

Another wrote: "Missy is adopted so Pass the Parcel is good, plus you could take a look at the Pirates episode and how Missy is very very brave."

"As other mums have said, it's implied that Missy is adopted/fostered. Shows her with a mum that's a different type of dog. I hope they cover the topic more!" said a third.

A fourth added: "When Missy runs to her mum in the episode she looks nothing like her mum."

And then someone replied: "There is speculation that an upcoming episode that has yet to air in Australia, will feature Brandie (Chilli's sister) adopting a baby. As I said it's merely speculation at this point so we'll just have to wait and see."
