Pixie Curtis has caused a stir among fans after the 10-year-old debuted a divisive manicure on her Instagram.

The manager behind her 97,700-strong Instagram account, Pixie’s famous mum and PR powerhouse Roxy Jacenko, shared the photo of her daughter’s pastel manicure courtesy of Sydney manicurists, CJ Artistry. Pixie’s colourful set featured long acrylic nails with retro-inspired swirls, daisies and pastel French tips.

The caption read: “Lucky Dad lives in Tassie and @roxyjacenko is in charge. How cool are my nails”.

Earlier in the day, Pixie shared a photo of her mid-manicure, writing: “Ummmm amazing !!!! Just visited @cjartistrygirls” in the caption.

However, in the comments, many criticised Jacenko for allowing her daughter to get long acrylic nails.

“Not sure on a young girl, plenty of time for that,” wrote one commenter.

“Very wrong for a 10 years old, there is no need to rush (sic) children to grow up sooner or look older,” wrote one more.

“Sorry but this is truly disgusting on a 10 year old!” shared another.

Others praised Pixie for her colourful manicure, with one fan commenting: “Woot woo! Your a real boss babe now”.

Pixie recently made headlines when it was revealed the Sydney schoolgirl could “retire at 15” if she wanted to.

The mini-mogul has two businesses in her portfolio – Pixie’s Bows and Pixie’s Pix, which stocks a range of fidget spinners, toys and accessories. Despite just launching in May this year, Pixie’s Pix sold out within 48 hours and made more than $200,000 in its first month of operation.

Speaking to Stellar earlier this month, Jacenko praised her daughter’s “entrepreneurial spirit”.

“What is the most exciting thing for me is the entrepreneurial spirit that she has at such a young age. I never had it, although it was drummed into me that I had to succeed,” Jacenko told Stellar.

“When I was 14, I got a job at McDonald’s because that’s what you did back in my day.

“So, I guess to me the biggest thing is her drive as an entrepreneur. Yes, I’ve enabled it, but she’s still got it, which is for me the most rewarding part.”

Jacenko’s son, seven-year-old Hunter Curtis, also has a bubbling social media presence, with his Instagram page boasting over is 20,300 followers.
