A woman has revealed how she and her partner navigate their lives while posting their sexual escapades online for the world to see.

Stace Garland, who works as an intimacy coach, is one half of adult subscription service couple; Stace and Ty.

The couple have known each other for a decade through mutual friends and repeatedly at the same events, but it wasn’t until Ty slid into Stace’s direct messages two years ago that love began to blossom.

“We did long distance for the first year; he was in New Zealand and I was in Melbourne,” Stace told news.com.au.

“We were three or four months into our relationship, so it was quite soon, and he made a little comment of ‘we should just do OnlyFans’.”

The couple have a mutual kink called exhibitionism, which is when someone gets pleasure out of being seen performing a particular or various sex acts.

Stace considered Ty’s suggestion, with the intimacy and body coach realising it could be a way for herself to “practice what she preached”.

“I was teaching women to be their authentic selves and to speak up in the bedroom and to experiment and be confident in who they are, whether they had those kinks or fetishes or just preferences, whatever that looked like,” she said.

“And I thought, ‘you know what? I’m teaching these women to be confident in who they are. This is a part of myself that I need to accept and really lean into’.”

Stace, who is speaking at FemmeCon’s S*x, Self + Stuff event in July, then checked in with Ty to see if he was serious and the pair decided they were.

They had already filmed some videos, so decided to start posting it.

But Stace says the couple haven’t let uploading to the platform become work.

“With any kink, regardly if it’s with OnlyFans or anything, communication is really important,” she said.

“We discovered very early on that you have to have very strong communication in order for that to work.”

“If we don’t feel like filming, we don’t. We don’t ever film for the sake of ‘we have to create content’,” she explained.

“Our relationship will always come first, our sex life will always come first and OnlyFans adds to our sex life, it keeps the spark alive and brings a lot of enjoyment for us.

“The moment we start to film like we don’t want to, we just don’t film.”

However, Stace has seen the impact that readily and easily available pornography can have on women; on one end of the spectrum it has made some more confident while on others it can have a negative impact.

She said she prides herself on the fact that what she and Ty puts out into the world shows the reality of what intimacy can look like between two people, while larger production companies made their videos for “entertainment” and the “male gaze”.

Stace added that porn was where a lot of young men and women go to start learning about sex, and a lot of her clients focus on pleasing someone else during sex; which is why it’s important to surround yourself with podcasts and communities that discuss female pleasure.

As an intimacy coach, she often sees married women with children over 35 who want to work on their intimacy as they’re struggling with confidence.

She said that at first she doesn’t even talk about sexual intimacy but what she calls “sexual currency”.

“The more that you have in your bank account, the rich you are, the more sexual currency that you have throughout the day, the more likely you are going to want sex and then have sex,” she said.

“Sexual currency are things like hugs, little touches on the back, whatever that looks like for you. It’s those things that you do with your partner that you wouldn’t do with a friend, and it’s building up that bank account of intimacy.”

She explained that it’s often the little things, like writing a morning message, or hugging them when they walk through the door, which help to increase intimacy.

“And it’s actually bringing back those things to then lead up to having sex,” she explained.
