The dating world has undergone a massive transformation over the past 10 years.
Thanks to the advent of dating apps, 8 million Aussies are now finding love online, but despite being more connected than ever, 46 per cent of couples still want more time together.
In part two of body+soul’s nationwide YouGov Galaxy Survey, we not only reveal how Australians are finding love — but also what they’re looking for and what they consider a deal-breaker.
BODY+SOUL SURVEY RESULTS
“The fact that both men and women want more time together is indicative of today’s society,” body+soul psychologist Jacqui Manning says.

Jacqui Manning says the visual cortex in a man’s brain is larger, “so naturally men are more visual creatures”.
“This doesn’t mean men are shallow, but it does highlight that women are more primed for communication — or that they may consider other qualities like humour sexy as well as appearance.”
