Qantas launches huge sale including $1,749 fares to London

With cheap fares to London, Bali, New York, Palau, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Delhi, Qantas' latest sale is a grab bag of goodies. 

The last few months have felt like an arms race of flight sales, as airlines compete to outdo each other with new year deals. 

And after Virgin launched a massive sale on Monday (with $499 flights to Bali), Qantas has today come out with an international sale of its own. 

With $1,749 fares to London, $679 flights to Bali, $1,699 flights to New York, $799 flights to Palau, $999 flights to Hong Kong, $949 flights to Tokyo, $949 flights to Delhi and more it's not a sale to be missed.

Prices have been slashed on 400,000 seats, making it Qantas' biggest sale of the past 12 months. Discounted flights will be available to almost 30 international destinations across Asia, the Americas, the UK and the Pacific. The sale will last a week (fares will be available until  11.59pm AEDT Monday February 10, 2025 unless sold out prior).

Two of Qantas' new routes are also available to book in the sale: Melbourne to Honolulu (which takes off from May 1) and Darwin to Singapore (which takes off from March 30).

Fares are for select travel dates from February 5, 2025 until January 2026, including during school holiday periods for some places. 

Those who have Classic Plus Flight Rewards Points coming out their ears will be able to use them to book sale fares too, with Sydney to London return in Economy up for grabs for 99,400 Qantas Points (+ $755 in taxes, fees and carrier  charges).

Qantas CEO International Cam Wallace says the sale has come in response to Aussies' ravenous appetite for overseas travel, and aims to cater to both longtime favourite destinations as well as new hotspots. 

“Whether you’re looking for a  long weekend getaway to Bali, or a longer break in London or New York, there is something for everyone," he said. 

“We have... discounted some of our newest destinations, including Palau, which has generated huge  interest since its launch, as well as our some of our most popular routes like Japan and Bali."
