The Sydney Royal Easter Show is back again — and so are all the animals who will be competing for the best in show. Just like Simba the red bicolour Ragdoll feline.

For some it’s the showbags, and for others it’s the ride but another drawcard for the Sydney Royal Easter Show is the animals of the highest pedigree.
And Simba is just one of the felines getting ready for the big event.
The five-year-old red bicolour Ragdoll show cat will compete at Sydney’s Royal Cat Show, one of the most prestigious cat contests in the country, attracting more than 40 breeds nationwide.
The competing cats are assessed on their breed, standard, coat and temperament with the top title being Best In Show.
Rebekah Darmody from Affinity Ragdolls NSW prepares Simba, who enters his fourth year of competition this year, for the show events.
“They’ve got to look their best, their personality has to be right and they have to enjoy it,” Ms Darmody said.
And Simba loves all the attention — especially at bath time.
“He is a chillaxed cat, he’s very affectionate like a loyal indoor dog. He’s just so chilled in water, sitting in there, not moving just looking,” Ms Darmody, who is also entering her kitten Maple, said.
The Royal Cat Show will be held at The Pet Pavilion on Riverina Ave on April 2-4 with the breed displayed being held on April 9-10.
