Peppa Pig is a household name, loved by kids all around the world - but it's not without its critics.
This iconic show, featuring a lovable, but slightly bossy little pig, has recently found itself at the centre of a controversy online.
Brittany, a concerned mum, has decided to ban her children from watching the cartoon, raising questions about the impact of kids' TV shows on young minds and sparking a heated debate among parents.

"Peppa has an unintelligent mother and a useless father"
While Brittany acknowledges the potential of TV as a learning tool and a "moderated form of downtime", she draws a firm line at Peppa Pig.
She says this is due to Peppa having "cringeworthy attitude problems," and not speaking to her family and friends nicely.
"Children are impressionable," Brittany said in a Facebook post. "They're always copying what they see and hear."
Aside from Peppa's attitude, she also takes issue with other characters on the show for portraying negative stereotypes.
"[Peppa] has a perceptively unintelligent mother and a useless father (who gets picked on for his size)," she said.
She added, "I don't think it's acceptable to display this to my children who use characters on the TV as role models."
Brittany shared that she has noticed a correlation between her kids' behaviour and the media they consume in the past.
"I recently found that my eldest had a change of attitude and his imaginative play became aggressive and rude after we had watched PJ Masks a few times, so I phased it out ASAP!" she wrote.
Ultimately, she claims that the show is "deceptive" as it is promoted as a "lightweight" show but has "underlying poor values [that are] soaked up by young children."

"My youngest watched it once and I've had problems ever since"
Her post prompted a range of reactions from fellow parents. Some agreed with Brittany's concerns and expressed their dislike of the show, while others deem her decision an "overreaction" to a "harmless kids show."
"Can't stand Peppa Pig. We have stayed away from her," one mum said.
"I hate how she talks over her friends. I do not allow Peppa Pig in my house. My youngest watched it once and I've had problems ever since," another revealed.
On the other hand, someone wrote, "My kiddo loves Peppa Pig, I don't see anything wrong with it. Peppa is a bit sassy, but I've seen more positive influences from him watching it than negative ones. I watch it with him a lot and we talk about the characters and what they're doing."
And a different parent insisted, "You can have your own influence on what they're taking in. You can't censor the world around them, so why not teach them how to interpret what they're seeing and make their own decisions on how to treat others?"
A third remarked: "This post is very stupid. Nothing about Peppa Pig is rude. The characters are very polite and intelligent which makes it very educational."
That persona added, "It also models positive social behaviour such as sharing, taking turns, being kind to others, and language development. I could understand if a cartoon-like Family Guy is said to be unsuitable for kids - but not this."
