MAFS Eden Harper reveals shock split from ‘hubby’ Jayden Eynaud

It appears we have witnessed the demise of another MAFS couple to add to our catalogue of tragic love lost.

Eden, 28, took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce her break up with season 11 'husband', Jayden.

‘It was forever’

“When I made the decision at final vows to be with Jayden, I really did that with the intention of it being forever,” Eden wrote.

“Jayden & I spent many months together after the experiment, Cub gained a dad and I gained a whole second family who I'm truly grateful for.

“I'm saddened to share that toward the end of the show airing, our relationship came to an end. The reality is, the person I chose, didn't choose me.

“Whilst I'm disappointed that what you saw didn't translate in the real world, I will never regret this experiment, the people I met, the lessons I learnt and the growth it has had on me.”

She ended the caption alongside several images of the couple, thanking her followers: “Thank you for supporting us and for also wishing for the same fairytale that I had hoped for.”

The inside scoop

An insider close to Eden revealed to Daily Mail Australia the breakup was “completely out of the blue”, and Eden is “pretty shattered about it”

They also revealed, “Eden was in the dark about the whole thing and still doesn't know how Jayden feels about her.”

“Jayden didn't really give her any real reason for breaking up with her.

“She tried her best to try and get things to work out and fix whatever issues he had but he wasn't willing to play game. 

“He just completely switched off one day, and it wasn't the same.”

Yikes!

A wrap on filming and the relationship?

The insider further revealed when the relationship turned sour, citing that it started to go downhill after the couple headed back to the Gold Coast after filming.

The couple were allegedly on and off again but decided to call it quits when the show ended officially.

Jayden’s take

Two hours after Eden announced the couple’s split, Jayden followed up with his own explanation.

“Sometimes in life, things don’t always go the way you had hoped for,” he wrote. 

“After the experiment, Eden and I went back to the Gold Coast and continued to enjoy living our lives together and getting to know each other every day.

“However, unfortunately, our relationship ended not long before the end of the experiment airing. 

“As sad as it is, I’m so glad I got to go through this with such an amazing woman and a beautiful son 🐶 You will both always have a second family on the Gold Coast ❤️”

Which MAFS couples survived?

After putting on our detective coats and jumping into a serious Instagram stalk, it appears only three couples from the 2024 season are still together.

Ridge and Jayde both posted pictures together within the last day, attending a wedding and a throwback to Christmas.

Despite all the odds stacked against them, Tori and Jack are also still together, sharing loved-up snaps of the couple on their respective accounts.

“Road trips are better with you my babe xox” Jack captioned a recent selfie with his ‘wife’.

We guess you can count Jono and Ellie among those still together despite not being matched in the first place.

The controversial couple recently shared snaps on holiday together, along with loads of pics with fellow contestants.

And despite the country hoping for a miracle from Tim and Lucinda, it seems the couple are simply just a pair of best friends.

Lucinda posted on Tuesday a couple of selfies with the caption, “Caught up with this divine hunk of spunk recently in Sydney! Tim & I proceeded to ping pong back and forth our usual prick/bitch dialogue as recent divorcees! Love ya Timbo!”

We guess time will tell which couples beat the odds and prove the experiment has some shred of accuracy.
