The Great Gatsby star displayed a rugged look in a black wetsuit as he worked his way through a swell at the tourist hot spot.
Edgerton has kept a low profile since returning home to Sydney with his Vogue fashion editor girlfriend Christine Centenera in March.
The couple has spent most of the lockdown together exploring their creative sides through art and Edgerton recently said he was enjoying the break from Tinseltown.
“I’ve decided I want to be a renaissance man by the end of this whole situation,” he told ABC’s Australian Story.
“I am also aware that I’m very lucky and I do have gratitude for it, because I sit around here and I feel guilty now that I’m having a great old time.
“I don’t have to dress up, don’t have to go anywhere. Don’t have to impress any people. I don’t go into crowded rooms and I feel incredible.”
The acclaimed actor has also been preparing for his upcoming role in Brady Corbet’s immigrant drama The Brutalist, with filming set to begin in January 2021.
The star-studded cast includes Academy award-winning actor Marion Cotillard and The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby.
