Is it really worth your money? The results are in.

Nothing is more annoying than heading out to your car in winter, only to realise that it isn’t quite as ready for the day as you are.

Sure, you can get rid of any ice on the windshield with some water, but no one wants soggy sleeves from wiping condensation off the mirrors.

Thankfully, a new solution has gone completely viral. But at only $5, does it really work?

“How clear is that?”

Aussie TikTok creator @ylilnoon went completely viral earlier this month with a video featuring her car mirror squeegee.

“Guys, I finally get to use my little Temu contraption,” she said.

“It’s this little scraper… because obviously you don’t want to touch your hand with this because it’s so cold.”

The product, purchased from Temu, extends so that she can clear both of her car’s side mirrors from the drivers seat - with no wet sleeves or hands necessary.

“How clear is that? Love!”

Commenters on the post loved the idea.

“Iconic behaviour,” said one person.

“The way I need this!!” another agreed.

“Consumerism final boss but I’m here for it,” said a third.

“Ok yes I need this now,” another person said.

And, others said they had one too - and were equally as obsessed.

“Omg I have one too, literally the best thing I’ve ever bought,” said one person.

“No genuinely this saves my life every single day!!! Fav purchase EVER!!!!” another agreed.

Does it really work?

For those of us who aren’t Temu shoppers, Kmart sells an almost identical product called the Car Side Mirror Squeegee.

The product retails for just $5, and extends from just 21cm to almost a metre so you can reach both mirrors without having to move a muscle.

I'll admit, I was definitely sceptical of the product when I was looking at it online. Sure, it's only $5, but is it even worth that?

The squeegee is already sold out in many stores, however thankfully I was able to get my hands on it, and I can confirm, the thing works!

It comes at its original 21cm size, and is easy to extend to 96.5cm. My car is fairly small, so at this length it reaches the passenger side mirror from the driver's seat with ease, as I imagine it would be for larger cars as well. It's also far more sturdy and durable than I imagined it would be for the price.

Sure, it may not be my favourite purchase ever, but is it worth $5 for the convenience? I’d say yes.

Though it might seem silly, I guarantee my sleeves (and my eyes) will be thanking me this winter - and yours will too.
