Brodie Harper has many gigs on the go, from hosting Beauty Break for Chemist Warehouse to dedicating her time to the MyRoom Children’s Cancer Charity, but the Postcards presenter says kicking back on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula with her family is when she breathes easiest.
Brodie and her husband, model and athlete, Heath Meldrum, bought an original 1970s home in a lush, tree-lined suburban street a little over a decade ago. Owing to its tired state, the home afforded the couple the opportunity to create their own dream property with a coastal-inspired theme.
“The house is north facing and has so many windows,” says Brodie, who adds these windows provide a certain charm., which she loves. Over time, the couple has renovated the entire home, including adding new bathrooms, kitchen, whitewash floorboards and a stacker door along the back of the house.
Brodie, who has worked Postcards for 14 years running, is also a passionate marathoner and recently graduated from a sports nutrition course.
“I don’t often get time to relax at home as we are always on the go, but if I do, we have a beautiful picture window in our family room that looks out at a magnificent gum tree and I like to sit there,” she says.
“You could really be absolutely anywhere.”

As a marathon runner I go through a lot of runners. I couldn’t live without them. They would have to be my most worn item.
