A UK mother has revealed how missing a body part has helped her make her mortgage payments, as she spreads awareness on the issue.

In 2020 Holly Fleet, who goes by @stomababe online, was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis – a bowel disease that causes inflammation and ulcers in the digestive track.

She was fitted with a colostomy bag and eventually had “Barbie bum” surgery – a procedure in which the rectum and anus are removed and sewn up permanently.

Since, Holly has been vocal online about what her life has been like, sharing everything from her experience running marathons, recovering after the surgery and her journey of starting a family.

And, the 30-year-old revealed in a recent TikTok video that her bid to raise awareness has helped her raise a pretty penny thanks to social media views and endorsements.

“I saw this creator talking about how a video had helped her pay her mortgage this month,” she revealed.

“I just want to say that my missing bum hole is paying my mortgage — well, my portion of the mortgage this month.

“I made quite a bit of money … thank you to everybody watching me talk about my missing bum hole … keep watching and spreading awareness.”

It comes just a week after she posted a snap of herself wearing a bikini, revealing she feels a lot less insecure about her body post-surgery.

“I used to be super paranoid about every aspect of my figure, but now I know how much my body has survived, I have nothing but respect for it,” she said.

“This body has fought through three open abdominal surgeries in two years and gave birth to my daughter.

“It’s not perfect, but it is mine.”

Holly went viral earlier this year after she revealed her horrible experience while attending one of Taylor Swift’s UK concerts.

She said she was shoved by a mother and harassed when she was trying to use the bathroom, with people banging on the disabled toilet door.

“I had to keep going to the toilet and was treated with contempt whenever I went back to my spot. Despite explaining I have a medical condition,” she wrote on X after attending the Wembley Stadium concert.

”I was wearing my sunflower lanyard to let people know I have a hidden condition and had my backpack on with stoma supplies in.

“One lady demanded I remove my backpack even as I explained why I was wearing it.”
