The co-owner of P.E. Nation has turned heads with racy variation of a revealing activewear trend that Pip herself labelled “sexy”.

Just when it seemed activewear couldn’t get any sexier, Pip Edwards has proved us all wrong.

The fashion designer, and one-half of Australian fitness brand P.E. Nation, has just shared a series of snaps wearing an item from the label’s new lace collection.

In the photos, she’s wearing a bodysuit that could easily be mistake for lingerie, leaving many of her 186,000 followers with their jaws on the floor.

The 42-year-old wore the black one-piece, which features a fabric bodice overlayed with lace across the thighs, to a gruelling fitness class on Wednesday.

“Black lace for pilates this morning. Sporty, but make it sexy…. Our new lace capsule drops online tomorrow,” she wrote.

She accompanied the post with a series of photos, some showing her working out on a reformer machine, in the racy outfit.

The next-level take on the current bodysuit gym trend quickly garnered attention from fans, with many declaring they “need” the product.

“Love this Pip, very you,” one commented.

“I want that outfit,” another said, while another agreed: “I need this is my life!”

“Strong Madonna vibes,” someone else mused.

“Beautiful detail,” another wrote.

The price of the lace bodysuit hasn’t been released yet, but similar ones on the P.E. Nation website are priced between $159 and $179.

Bodysuits have become incredibly trendy for working out in, with other brand’s including Skims and STAX. also adding them to their offerings recently.

Melbourne WAG turned influencer Rebecca Judd was playfully roasted when the fitness brand she co-owns with a friend released a one-piece last year.

JAGGAD released a bodysuit priced at $129 which many of the star’s fans suggested was far from practical in everyday life.

“Not sure I’d be going to Woolies in this after the gym…” one fan commented.

“Pity us mere mortals could never possibly wear this outside the house,” another remarked.

While one teased: “What is it?”

The verdict on Pip’s lacy version is yet to be determined, but it’s “sexy” nature could be a put off for some gymgoers.
