17-year-old Kai Trump becomes ‘princess of the USA’ overnight
The eldest grandchild of one of the world’s most famous men has shot to fame recently, with fans praising the teen for being “a class act”.

She’s only 17, but with her high-society connections and blossoming social media career, Kai Trump is already set for stardom.
The eldest of Donald Trump’s 10 grandchildren, Kai was only recently rolled out as part of the 78-year-old’s family entourage, and it is clear America has been quickly captivated.
A quick scroll through the comments on her YouTube, TikTok and Instagram accounts, which have amassed more than 4.5 million followers collectively, show just how beloved the teen daughter of the new president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, is.
“The princess of the USA,” one fan declared on a photo of Kai at her grandfather’s inaugural ball at the White House this week.
“A class act,” another said alongside the snap, which showed her in a sparkling Sherri Hill floor-length gown.
As another gushed: “Go Kai! Humble, kind, hard working, poised. Truly such an inspiration for women in this country and the world.”

So who is Kai? And why are people so fascinated by her?
The young Trump made her debut on the political stage at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in July where she instantly became “the subject of social media intrigue”, according to USA Today.
“To me, he’s just a normal grandpa,” Kai said at the event.
“He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school.”
But she’s also fiercely protective of her “grandpa”, stating “a lot of people have put him through hell, and he’s still standing”.
Indeed, her loyalty to the patriarch of her wealthy family has seemingly earned her a soft spot with the 45th and 47th President of the United States, with Mr Trump even addressing Kai at his presidential parade.
After crediting his “very tall” 18-year-old son Barron for helping win the youth vote, Mr Trump moved onto Kai.
“Another famous one, how about Kai? Stand up, Kai,” the president said.

It’s not just Mr Trump who dotes on Kai, with her own father also sharing his love for her publicly.
In a behind-the-scenes inauguration vlog posted to Kai’s YouTube, Trump Jr. expressed how “proud” he is of his first child, and even revealed his adorable nickname for her.
In the video, Kai can be seen waiting in a room at the United States Capitol before Monday’s swearing-in ceremony in Washington, DC, when she saw her dad and asked whether he wanted to “say something” to the camera, Page Six reports.
“Yes, I want to say something,” the 47-year-old, replied. “I love this little Smurf so much, and I’m so proud of her.”
The first son then explained that he asked Kai at the last minute to speak at the Make America Great Again Victory Rally Sunday, stating she “absolutely crushed it”.
“So, I’m very proud of her, and even if at her age dads are not cool, I don’t care. I love her so much,” he continued while giving her a kiss on the top of her head.
“You’re the best, little Smurf.”
Budding golf-queen
Outside of her political exposure, the young woman is also a keen golfer, and often shares videos and pictures from her escapades on different courses.
According to her college profile, the Benjamin School student has an 18 hole average of 73 while her tournament scoring average is 75.
“I have been playing golf for thirteen years. This was my second year playing for my high school’s varsity team and my first year as team captain,” she wrote.
“I was born in New York City and moved to Jupiter, Florida, when I was thirteen. I am involved in three clubs at my school and push myself to achieve my academic and athletic goals. Golf has always been a huge part of my life and is my biggest passion.
She also said that she will “always aspire to be a leader and a positive figure on and off the golf course”.
Perks of being Trump royalty
While Kai might share common interests with other regular 17-year-olds, the opportunities and experiences given to her as a result of her family name are undeniable.
Recently, she shared a photograph of herself alongside her grandfather and Elon Musk, after watching a rocket launch at SpaceX.
She also regularly flies on a private jet and has a wardrobe most teenage girls could only dream of.
The champagne silver gown she wore while attending her granddad’s ball retails for $US 1800 (almost $A 3000) while a second Sherri Hill dress she wore on the night, a navy blue number with cut outs, costs $US 990 ($A 1600).
Kai doesn’t appear to be blind to her privilege, regularly taking the time to give thanks for grand opportunities that come her way.
“What an incredible experience,” she wrote when visiting SpaceX, adding it was “not your average science class”.
She’s also not afraid to re-wear something in her wardrobe, with a pair of $US 200 ($A 320) strappy heels regularly featuring in her memorable outfits – including President Trump’s inauguration dresses and her homecoming look.
