Eager Kmart shoppers have flocked to the retail giant to get their hands on these items that feline companions will adore.
The Mushroom cat scratcher, retailing for $25, and the Cat Tower Flower, for $42, have been circulating on social media as must-have items.
TikTok user @disappointingporridge revealed her cat’s name was Mushroom and she was set on getting the cat scratcher for the feline.
“He just needs one,” she said, before cutting to a clip of her in the store.
“I could get three! I’m so excited.”
Mushroom happily helped his owner rip open the box, getting up close and personal with the camera before eagerly inspecting his new play thing.
Meanwhile, TikTok user @petal_ pocky shared a clip unboxing both the cat tower and scratcher.
“Whoever created these needs a raise,” the video was captioned.
Social media users were quick to share their excitement and eagerness at getting their hands on the two products.
“My cat is named Pudding, last year at Christmas they had a Christmas pudding cat bed at Kmart, I ran there,” one social media user commented.
Another said: “Me knowing 100% my cat would not use it, but imma gonna get it anyway.”
One said of the mushroom: “I have this and their flower one, they look great next to each other bc they have the same grass base.”
One person said: “I saw this and bought it IMMEDIATELY. I don’t even own a cat I just want a shelf.”
Another user said: “Pls I hope they come to NZ.”
But one disappointed user expressed disappointment at the timing of the release.
“I wanted a pretty one like these for months but just got a $100 plain one from kmart and NOW they release this,” the user said.
Kmart has been touted in recent weeks for upping their game, releasing their August Living range featuring the very in style bouclé fabric as well as highly regarded outdoor play equipment.
