Eagle-eyed MAFS fans spot X-rated item in John Aiken's office

As if that chat between him and Eliot wasn't entertaining enough...

Last night’s episode of Married at First Sight gave viewers a lot to take in.

First of all, you had Tim, being an absolute gaslighter as always. You had Jamie, who has quickly become my favourite person on the show, giving everyone at home a lesson on how to be a girl’s girl.

But, we also saw a conversation between Australia’s (second) least favourite groom Eliot and expert John Aiken, where Eliot got absolutely roasted for his bizarre and extensive list of demands for his ideal partner.

If you were too invested in this chat, though, you may have missed an interesting detail from John’s office that’s now got all of Australia in stitches.

John vs. Eliot

In a series first, last night’s episode of MAFS saw Eliot catch up with the show’s expert, John Aitken, promptly after ditching his new wife Lauren on Queensland's K'Gari Island in the middle of their honeymoon.

In the conversation, Eliot asked why he was paired with Lauren, who he described as a ‘Kardashian sister’ (not the insult he meant it to be, if you ask me), instead of the ‘cute, athletic, librarian-like girl under 30’ that he specifically requested.

“I had to get out of there,” Eliot said.

“I feel like I stayed for longer than I really should have.”

And, unsurprisingly, John absolutely read him to filth.

“Let’s be honest, you’re here on the show because you’re 35 and single and you’ve been going out with young women, and it hasn’t worked,” he said.

After Eliot called that a narrative, John said, “it’s not a narrative, it’s just facts” - potentially my favourite line from the show so far - before calling him out on his toxic behaviours and unrealistic standards. Get him John!!

If that’s not enough entertainment for you, some viewers have spotted something else in the clip that’s now circulating on social media, and people can’t believe their eyes.

Wait… what was that??

If you have a look at what’s in the background of John’s office, you can see all kinds of things. Mostly books, some sculptures, and… a giant butt plug?

Or, at least that’s what MAFS viewers seem to think.

Images were shared on Instagram via @mafsfunny of the suspiciously shaped object, tagging John in the hopes of some confirmation.

“Can you please confirm or deny what you have on your shelf @johnaikenlive ?” the post was captioned.

“I just spat my tea out!”

Commenters on the post thought the spotting was hilarious.

“I just spat my tea out!!!!!!” one commenter said.

“Is it a left over from last season’s intimacy week?” another joked.

“Water just came out my nose!!!!!” said a third.

While it’s clearly not actually a butt plug and more likely just some kind of sculpture or bookend, it’s definitely still worth a laugh.
