'Crazy good': Aussie shares viral Maccas hack for the best iced coffee ever

The thick and creamy off-menu item might just be your new go-to this summer. 🥵☕

An Aussie foodie has shared her 'must try' McDonald's hack which sees two favourite menu items mixed together for a tasty take on a regular iced coffee. 

Taking to her TikTok, influencer Brooke Lee filmed herself going through the drive-thru and ordering the off-menu combo that she "saw on TikTok."

The viral vanilla coffee thickshake 

She asked the Maccas server for "two double shot espressos and a small Vanilla thickshake."

Then after receiving her order, she pours the espresso into the shake and gently stirs it around with the straw so she doesn't spill it. 

Once it's mixed it looks like the consistency of a thick and creamy coffee frappe. Yummm!

Brooke then takes a sip and says, "Oooo yeah, that's good."

"I'm so on board with this"

Maccas fans loved the creative take on a thickshake and took to the comments to share their thoughts.

One user wrote, "I tried this - it's honestly the best taste in the world."

Then this man admitted, "I myself am a Maccas worker so, that’s an excellent hack."

Another woman chimed in, saying, "I'm so on board with this, I'm going to try it and am secretly hoping it's going to be my go-to summer favourite. Also might add Kahlua!"

Then someone else suggested, "Try it with the chocolate thickshake!"

"There's a coffee shake on the menu already"

On the original video that made the drink go viral, people said the hack was 'unnecessary'. 

"There's a coffee shake on the menu already," one person mentioned.

Then another noted, "There's even a coffee frappe as well."

But others said that it would be different to both of these items. "It's a vanilla shake plus coffee, so it would taste different to a coffee shake," one said.

Then someone else claimed, "They use coffee syrup for the shake... nothing compares to an espresso shot."
