The Bachelor matches don’t always work out – a reality show where a group of strangers vie for the affections of one person probably doesn’t make for the healthiest foundation for a relationship.
But that doesn't mean the matches don't ever work out.
Season nine’s Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston are the latest success story, announcing on Sunday that they’re expecting a baby.
Jimmy shared the announcement on his Instagram, posting a series of photos of himself and Holly on the beach.
Jimmy and Holly are both barefoot on the rocks, Jimmy in jeans and a t-shirt, and Holly in a long knit white dress.
Most of the photos are sweet and traditional, but in one, Jimmy is standing in front of Holly, sticking his belly out and cradling it in his hands, laughing.
The final photo in the series is the 12-week ultrasound.
“COMING 2024!” he captioned the photos.

Jimmy Nicholson picks Holly
Jimmy’s season of The Bachelor was admittedly one of the more boring seasons, with one viewer calling it “a waste of 10 weeks of my life”, but we’re always happy for a good reality show success story.

The finale took place at Alice Springs, where Jimmy waffled between Brook and Holly, telling Osher he was still undecided about which woman he was going to choose.
But in the end he settled on Holly.
“I’ve only been in love a couple of times, and you can’t compare it to any other feeling,” he said. “I can honestly say falling love with Holly is one of the easiest things I’ve ever done.”
