Aussies are calling for a sex worker who films adult content with “barely legal” young men to be banned from Australia amid growing concerns for the safety of the teenagers involved.
Bonnie Blue, a British woman currently living on the Gold Coast, has been accused of “predatory” behaviour after she issued a public call out for Schoolies leavers to “bonk”.
The self-proclaimed “high class escort”, who attracted a wave of criticism in recent weeks over a similar stunt during the UK’s “Freshers Week”, issued an invitation for “newly 18-year-olds” attending high school graduation celebrations to meet her at the Meriton in Surfers Paradise.
But the 25-year-old’s upcoming stunt has sparked community concerns and led to calls from furious Australians for the sex worker’s visa to be cancelled.
Despite the change.org petition’s pleas for Bonnie to be booted from the country, the adult star has remained indignant, claiming she’s doing nothing wrong.
“I receive backlash for sleeping with barely legal 18-year-olds, but the key word in that sentence is ‘legal’,” she said in a statement to news.com.au.
“Rather than comment on my TikToks, people should complain to the government to increase the age from 18 to 21. I’m only complying with Australian law, if it rises to 21 I will then film with barely legal 21-year-olds.
“Of course the Karens of the world will still complain. I can’t win. Even when my videos are completely legal, with written consent, ID verification and each participant has to pass a breathalyser test.”
Almost 10,000 people have signed the petition, which argues “Bonnie finds [Schoolies] the perfect opportunity to find young boys to prey on and record sexual content to sell.
“This is her sole working job whilst living in Australia from the UK. How is she contributing to our society?
“There are so many parents who are already worried about their kids being at schoolies as it is, let alone when they are multiple girls including Bonnie Blue whose sole purpose of joining these events is it to prey on young boys and make explicit content.”
The petition organiser said that if the Australian Government cannot stop Bonnie from being in the country, then she should “be banned from attending this year’s schoolies event”.
There is no suggestion that Bonnie has engaged in any criminal wrongdoing.
Activist and survivor Harrison James echoed the concerns raised in the change.org petition, telling news.com.au he believed the OnlyFans creator posed a “real risk” to the young school leavers attending the annual Gold Coast celebrations.
“I find this situation deeply alarming. Throughout adolescence, young boys particularly are frequently exposed to damaging messages through mainstream pornography that reinforces harmful beliefs – that their worth and masculinity are tied to any sexual conquest,” Mr James said.
“When OnlyFans creators like Bonnie Blue specifically target ‘barely legal’ boys in environments like schoolies, it exacerbates a pre-existing issue: (the encouraging) of young men to equate any sexual encounter, even if it’s exploitative, with status and validation.
“This environment is further complicated by alcohol and the emotional intensity of the celebrations.
He continued: “The current safeguards and age verification processes are not foolproof, and the stakes are too high when dealing with young people navigating new-found independence.
“Without rigorous vetting and safeguarding measures, which haven’t been thoroughly stated, the risk of serious exploitation is substantial. My aim is to ensure that conversations about this issue prioritise the safety and well-being of all youth and that we, as a society, hold accountable those who might exploit these vulnerabilities.”
Mr James – who was molested between the ages of 13 and 16 – is currently fighting for “good character” references to be removed in the sentencing procedure of paedophiles convicted of child sexual abuse with the “Your Reference Ain’t Relevant” campaign, launched alongside child sexual abuse survivor Jarad Grice in May 2023.
In an effort to shine further light on the concerns surrounding Bonnie’s plans to film with school leavers, Mr James shared a video of himself calling the Meriton to alert them to the situation.
“While these creators emphasise that all encounters are consensual and involved proof of age verification, there are significant concerns surrounding the vetting process of that,” he states during the TikTok clip, which has been viewed almost 1 million times.
“If an incident were to occur involving a minor or someone unable to give true consent due to intoxication ... it would be a devastating incidence of sexual abuse and exploitation.
“So I’m deeply worried about the potential concerns if proper precautions aren’t taken.”
During the call, a Meriton employee acknowledged it was “aware” of the growing concern surrounding Bonnie’s plans, and said it was “taking action”.
Meriton told news.com.au the safety of its guests and residents was a “top priority”.
“We are actively addressing this matter and have engaged with our legal team and the Queensland police to ensure that appropriate actions are taken in accordance with hotel policy and local laws.”
However Bonnie, who also has plans to film content with “Australia’s most sexually active woman” Annie Knight, has remained firm – and shut down suggestions she’s a “predator”.
“I understand people may not agree with the content I make however that doesn’t make me a predator or my behaviour predatory,” she argued.
“Those middle aged women who are giving me the hate should be thanking me. I’m educating the younger generation on safe sex, consent and allowing them to understand their bodies and those they’re sleeping with.
“I understand there are different views and respect that people in Australia who are of a legal age can make their own decisions.
“I have and will carry on respecting the laws of this amazing country and hope that people understand that people can make their own decisions because the alternative may be government literally being in our bedrooms telling us what we can do and what we cannot do.”
Annie shared a similar sentiment when approached by news.com.au, stating: “It’s all consensual and legal and Bonnie is not getting deported.
“We have measures in place to ensure both our safety and the safety of the participants.”
Last year, Bonnie hit headlines around the world for sleeping with over 122 “barely legal” young college men in the Mexican city of Cancun during Spring Break, a US tradition where students take time off from their studies, usually to party and have fun.
A few months later she said she slept with “almost as many” young men on the Gold Coast during Schoolies celebrations.
During her most recent trip to the UK, she alleged she slept with “158 students in 2 weeks”, but her antics sparked anger in the local community after an influx of young guys turned up with the hopes of participating.
