Bluey Easter eggs have dropped at Woolworths

A shopper, who doubles as a fan of the Aussie animation (I mean, who doesn't?), has taken to Facebook to share images of Bluey Easter eggs they spotted on the shelves at Woolies.

"Available now at Woolworths Australia," they shared in the Adult Bluey Fans Club Facebook group.

Naturally, other fans were sent into a frenzy. No, not because it seems a little too early to be stocking up for the Easter Bunny's supplies, but because... it's Bluey! In chocolate form!

"OMG," one person simply commented, while others tagged their fellow Bluey fan friends who they thought might want to stock up.

"Shut up and take my money!" another wrote.

And another shared what many of us were thinking: "Uh oh that's dangerous."

A range of Bluey-themed Easter chocolates to choose from

It doesn't take a genius to realise just how insanely popular Bluey is right now. The loveable pup and her family have taken over the TV screens of many families across the globe, so stocking the range (three of which are exclusive to them) on their shelves was a no-brainer for the fresh food people.

"Families have quickly fallen in love with Bluey and her fun-loving family, so to help Aussie’s celebrate Easter, we’re exclusively stocking a range of Bluey-themed chocolates," a Woolworths rep confirms to Kidspot.

"From Mini Eggs to hide around the garden, to a Milk Chocolate bar to share with your loved ones, our Bluey-themed chocolates will help you make the most of Easter this year. Make sure to get your share of the Bluey fun while stock lasts."

In the range, you'll find an Easter Hunt Pack ($8), a milk chocolate hollow Easter egg in the shape of Bluey ($10), a pack of 100g mini chocolate eggs ($5.50), and a larger 240g pack of mini eggs for $9.50.

Fans had questions over the price of the Easter chocolates

As the initial excitement settled, fans were quick to point out the elephant in the room. Those bright pink price tags.

"Prices are ridiculous," one person highlighted.

"What type of chocolate are they? Hopefully decent quality chocolate and not the waxy cheap stuff," another added.

"Cute but for that price and probably hollow, I'll do dollar tree. Is chocolate really that expensive in Australia? Or is it an Easter thing?" one of our overseas pals queried.

To answer the question on behalf of everyone Down Under, sadly yes.

And while we're well aware that everyone has tightened their belts at the moment and chocolate wasn't on your "splurge this month" bingo card, it's worth pointing out that these Easter treat offerings are based on the recommended retail price and pretty comparable to other licensed Easter eggs that appear each year.

Is anything cheap anymore?! Plus, it's BLUEY!
