‘Best present’: Shoppers discover 'game-changing' Kmart service

So many shoppers didn't even know this service existed.  

Kmart fans can't stop raving about a newly discovered service after they realised it would make a perfect last-minute, yet thoughtful gift.

Kmart Photos, an in-store printing service in collaboration with Kodak, allows customers to add a custom photo to The 325ml White Mug at any participating location. 

And according to happy customers, the quality exceeded their expectations of the budget retailer.

The Kmart service makes a great gift

One shopper took to the popular Facebook group, Kmart Mums Australia, to ask about the quality of the mugs, sparking a range of responses from those who have already bought them.

"Hi. Has anyone purchased one of these personalised mugs from Kmart Photos?" she asked.

"If so, I’d love to know the quality 😀. Thanks!"

"Amazing quality"

The mugs, priced at just $6, have clearly won over customers, who took to the comments to praise the affordable service.

"Really great quality," said one commenter. "I was very impressed," said a second.

Another said they bought one for their daughter and it was "amazing."

Then this happy customer shared: "I've had one for four years and it's still perfect. I have my coffee every morning in it and always goes in the dishwasher."

And another group member backed this up and said: "They are great, we do one every year and mine have lasted several years. Some of the images has started coming off of the older ones, but handwashing seems to make them last longer. Excellent value."

"A great teacher or Kris Kringle present!" noted a different person.

Meanwhile, another user said they had done six cups with them and they have lasted "seven years and are still going."

"I'm also happy with the one I did!" yet another Kmart customer revealed.

"I did one earlier this year and was very happy with it. Good quality, turned out better than I thought it would," admitted one woman. 

The personalised mugs 

For those considering a purchase, there are options to customise the mugs with a single photo, a collage or a design layout.

"Start each morning with a smile," the Kmart website reads. "This personalised ceramic mug is a picture-perfect addition to your morning routine and a thoughtful photo gift for any occasion."

It also says it is "microwave and dishwasher safe."

And if you need a present in a pinch, the personalised mugs are available for Click and Collect.
