Aussie mum's $200 mistake you need to watch out for this winter

Thankfully, there may be a fix.

One of the most frustrating things about winter is finding a time for your clothes to dry without a dryer.

There’s only so much sunlight you can take advantage of during the day, and you have to remember to bring everything in before it gets too cold and dark - or you end up where this woman is.

A TikTok creator has taken to the app this week to share her husband’s blunder, and thankfully if it happens to you, there are a few solutions.

“Look what it’s become!”

Canberra woman @oliviar123456 has taken to TikTok this week to share the unfortunate end of her beloved Dissh sweater.

“I asked [my husband] to bring my very expensive Dissh jumper in last night inside,” she says.

“It is frozen solid. It is absolutely frozen f*cking solid.”

The woman clarified in the comments that she was in the shower with their baby when she asked her husband, so he didn’t hear her - but it was devastating nonetheless.

“I’m just going to die. This literally is the most expensive jumper, and look what it’s become!” she said.

“New art piece?”

Commenters on the post made all kinds of jokes about the now-frozen solid sweater, which has garnered over a million views.

“The care label says don’t tumble dry, but also didn't say don’t put in the freezer,” said one person.

“New art piece?” another joked.

But, it seems she’s not the only one this has happened to - and she may have even gotten out of it easy.

“I lived in Canberra years and years ago and yes I did snap an arm off my jumper when I realized I left it outside,” said one commenter.

“My first winter in Canberra my jumper got frozen and I broke a chunk off it,” another person shared.

You can fix it!

If this has happened to you - or if you’re worried it might - don’t fret! People flooded to the comments with some helpful solutions.

“Let it defrost and it will be fine,” said one person.

“Just put it on defrost mode in your microwave,” another agreed.

“Should have tried soaking it in warm water maybe,” said a third.

“Just throw it out in the sun, it will thaw out,” another person suggested.
