Old health centre to be transformed into housing

A former health centre on the northern beaches is to be turned into dozens of studios and units, with a few set aside for those under financial stress, such as nurses, cleaners, retail workers and women over 55.

Doggie drama as pup gets stuck in sofa

A fire crew raced against the clock to free 10-week-old Bear after the pup got stuck in a recliner sofa. The little fella was said to be yelping in pain and drifting in and out of consciousness as the fireys battled to save the miniature pomeranian.

‘It must be a problem for women in all sports’

A campaign has been launched on the northern beaches to end inequality in sport, as it’s revealed a top women’s rugby team is forced to change on the sidelines, while their male counterparts have the luxury of a changing room.

More than 300 staff and 140 stores are at risk after it was announced that Colette by Colette Hayman had gone into voluntary administration. On Tuesday afternoon shoppers gave mixed views on the collapse of the popular accessory brand.

Zali’s plan to reduce Warringah’s carbon footprint

A new initiative to reduce Warringah’s carbon footprint has been launched by MP Zali Steggall. The guide names and shames banks that fund fossil fuels. Among the other suggestions are investing in solar panels and buying an electric car.
