Brendan Fevola says he’d love to elope but is facing resistance from his bride Alex.
The couple, who previously married in 2005, are engaged but have no wedding date set.
“We’re going overseas in the mid (radio) survey break and I said to Al, why don’t we get married where we’re going and she said no,’’ Fevola said.
“So I think we’ll just elope.
“We’ve already been married, people are like you’re doing it again?
“Think that’s why we’ll just do it so the girls get to appreciate it. I want to do that — think that would be really beautiful just the family, but then I’d want everyone to be there so we can get on it. I don’t think Al’s as keen as me.”
Fevola joked during an interview with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on his FOX FM breakfast show last week that he’d extend an invite to ‘Albo’ to attend. He said he was just joking as a reference to Albo attending Kyle Sandilands’ wedding.
Alex said it would be hard to fit in their wedding between looking after their four girls and work with her Runway Room empire.
“(Eloping) would be what we’d like to do but there’s no set date. There’s no time for weddings, we’re busy.”
Brendan is promoting his favourite food mushrooms and a new take on the RSL meat tray. He is launching the Mushie Meat Tray after a study from Australian Mushrooms revealed a quarter of Victorians would like to see more variety in their RSL meat trays.
