Television presenter Monique Wright has split from her partner of 13 years, Tim Scanlan.
Confidential can reveal the popular co-host of Seven’s Weekend Sunrise has separated from the father of her three children.
“Monique and Tim agreed to separate a very long time ago and have continued to bring up their three beautiful children together,” a statement read.
“They have always been extremely private people and remain that way. They are completely committed to their children, and ask for privacy and respect as there are three young children involved.”
Confidential inquired after noticing Wright, 47, had not been wearing her wedding ring on air. She joined Seven in 1996 and is a much-loved member of the Sunrise team, regularly filling in on the weekday version over the years.
She co-hosts Weekend Sunrise alongside Matt Doran, and over the years has covered a range of stories and celebrity interviews with the likes of Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio.
In 2015, when announcing her third pregnancy at the age of 42, Wright said: “It was the last thing I expected.
“I’ve been through two pregnancies while being on air and I’ve come back and each time been promoted,” she said at the time, while also hosting Seven’s now-defunct The Daily Edition.
Wright and Scanlan met in 2008 and were married a year later.
BACHY HAS A NEW BAE
Matt Agnew has provided a blunt assessment of his time as star of reality dating show, The Bachelor.
Ironically, the preppy astrophysicist didn’t even watch the show that saw him choose now ex-girlfriend chemical engineer Chelsie McLeod.
“I didn’t see a huge reason to go through it,” the 33-year-old told Confidential.
Almost two years after the show aired, the intellectually gifted hunky nerd has traded the fiery world of reality TV for the perhaps more sedate job at “munitions, artillery systems and missile launchers” outfit BAE Systems.
Exposing his dating exploits for the nation to see on the show has only bolstered his personal brand in his current gig as data scientist at the military technology outfit.
“It does kind of make you out of necessity learn certain skills about communication and get your point across to people from all walks of life,” he said.
