Production is under way on the Aussie spin-off of hit US TV franchise, NCIS.
Confidential snapped actors shooting scenes for NCIS: Sydney at North Bondi on Thursday. And while the cast is yet to be announced, this column believes one of the stars is NIDA grad Tuuli Narkle, whose role in Mystery Road: Origin won her the 2022 AACTA for Lead Actress in a TV Drama.
Photographed on set with Narkle, both wearing police uniforms, was another relative newcomer in British actor Sean Sagar.
The production was announced in February last year for Channel 10 and streaming service Paramount+.
It follows American successes NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS: Hawaii.
NCIS: Sydney is the first international series in the franchise and will be broadcast globally.
“We are thrilled,” Ten boss Beverley McGarvey said when the show was announced.
“It is such a privilege to be able to continue the legacy of such a wonderful show and incorporate the superior NCIS storytelling while introducing new Australian characters and locations.
“We can’t wait to get production under way.”
