Cowell, 62, returned to British TV as a judge on the new season of Britain’s Got Talent – any many viewers took to social media to express their shock at his new look.

Cowell’s changing appearance has made headlines in recent years – and the judge and record company mogul recently conceded he had “gone too far” with cosmetic enhancements.

Simon Cowell on Britain’s Got Talent.

“There was a phase where everyone was having their faces pumped full of this and the other,” he told The Sun.

“There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day and didn’t recognise it as me first of all. (Son) Eric was in hysterics.”

But Cowell insisted those days were behind him.

“Enough was enough. There is no filler in my face at all now. Zero.”

Cowell also opened up about the big diet change that led to his recent weight loss, insisting that from now on he’ll never eat sugar, dairy or gluten again.

“Cutting all that out is what has made a difference, genuinely.

“I looked at a picture of myself from four years ago and thought, ‘Oh Christ.’ The diet I had then … phew. And everyone thinks I’ve had a gastric band – I haven’t.”
