Bachelor star Monique Morley left ‘practically paralysed’ after horror holiday incident

The Bachelor star Monique Morley has revealed the chilling incident that left her almost unable to move and “violently sick” while on holidays.

Bachelor contestant's X-rated confession

A former Bachelor Australia star has spoken publicly about her harrowing ordeal after being left “practically paralysed” in a suspected drink spiking incident overseas.

Monique Morley – a contestant on Matt Agnew’s 2019 season – told Yahoo Lifestyle she'd been “targeted” while out for a drink with a friend at a bar in the Caribbean.

According to Morley, 35 a local man was behaving strangely and had made a point of shuffling past the pair’s table – despite the fact the bar was empty.

“My drink had only just been served and when I turned back to drink it, I started to feel really weird – mostly in my legs. I asked my girlfriend if she felt the same and she said no,” the reality star said, explaining that she quickly realised her drink had been “spiked”.

“Everything then started going dizzy so I asked her to take me home and for her to drive. We had to keep stopping so I could throw up, my whole body felt weird and I couldn’t (sic) hardly feel my legs.”

When Morley got home, she was “practically paralysed” and “violently sick for hours”.

After sharing a message on Instagram about being “strong”, Morley responded to a follower checking in on her.

“Honestly. It’s the scariest thing but you can’t let the what if stop you. I have panics all the time but meditate myself out of it eventually. You’re stronger than you think,” she said.

Morley made plenty of headlines during her relatively short but memorable stint on The Bachelor after it was revealed she’d called Agnew a “dog c**t” behind his back.

Opening up about the incident to news.com.au following her eviction, Morley claimed the astrophysicist had issued her a blunt warning during their conversation about the alleged slur, which never made it to air.

“I said to him, ‘Look, I could make it all better and sit here and just say, yeah, I said it, I’m sorry, but I didn’t come in here lying and I’m not going to lie now, and I’d rather leave and look like a fool than lie to you right now and make it all better’,” Monique told news.com.au.

“And he said, ‘Yeah you do look like a fool on TV’ and I was like, ‘You know what, I’m going to stay true to myself, so I’m OK with that’.”
