The Bachelor: Matt’s blunt warning we didn’t get to see

After being booted from the mansion over the C-word, Monique has spilled on the brutally honest moment that didn’t make it to our screens.

Monique Morley has opened up about the brutally honest words Matt Agnew shared with her that never made it to our screens.

The lingerie designer, 26, was booted from The Bachelor mansion last night after love rival Abbie Chatfield told Matt, 32, that she’d called him a “dog c**t” behind his back — a line Monique later insisted was said as a joke.

The confusion over who was telling the truth was enough to earn Monique the benefit of the doubt, and she was given a rose during Wednesday’s ceremony — but the trust issues finally got the better of Matt the following day and he asked her to leave.

Monique was booted from the mansion on Thursday.

The conversation that aired between Monique and Matt was certainly blunt — but in a moment that didn’t make it to our screens, she claimed the astrophysicist also warned her she was going to look “like a fool” after she told him she couldn’t remember exactly what had been said.

“I said to him, ‘Look, I could make it all better and sit here and just say, yeah, I said it, I’m sorry, but I didn’t come in here lying and I’m not going to lie now, and I’d rather leave and look like a fool than lie to you right now and make it all better’,” Monique told news.com.au.

“And he said, ‘Yeah you do look like a fool on TV’ and I was like, ‘You know what, I’m going to stay true to myself, so I’m OK with that’.”

Matt asked both women directly to tell him what had happened.

Monique also claimed that Abbie had privately told her she’d felt pressured into spilling the beans about the “dog c**t” remark.

“She said (Matt) could tell something was wrong (on their solo date) and he was pressuring her. He kept asking her over and over to tell her what was wrong, and that’s when she’d had to confess I’d used the word ‘c**t’,” she said.

“It’s just all bulls**t.”

Abbie has been getting closer to Matt this week.

After Matt confronted Monique during Wednesday night’s episode, viewers watched as Matt grilled the other women on the incident, only to be left frustrated by the varied responses.

The whole thing became so stressful that Monique admitted she’d considered walking out before the ceremony even took place.

“I thought about leaving because I was like, ‘I don’t need this pettiness in my life’, but then I thought I’d given him the benefit of the doubt to see (Abbie’s) true colours — and then he chose her over me,” she told news.com.au.

While Monique claimed to have no hard feelings, she added that she wasn’t thrilled with the way Matt had approached the situation.

“I think he’s a nice guy, I just think this is a lot of attention and it’s a different situation for him … but he could have handled it better,” she explained.

“I don’t think he should have been as hard on me as he was.”

Despite the evening descending into an absolute trainwreck, Monique said the incident had actually brought with it some benefits.

“As an intruder, I didn’t have that many friends, and girls like Sogand (Mohtat) — who I wasn’t even friends with and who was friends with Abbie — actually turned on Abbie and was like, ‘Not cool babe, that’s now how it was’,” she said.

“So it was kind of a night for me where I kind of gained some friends because all these people were calling her out on her bulls**t.”

The Bachelor airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm on Ten.
