Logies red carpet kicks off in style
DELTA, Jen Hawkins and new mums Sonia Kruger and Asher Keddie were just some of the beauties who dazzled in plunging necklines at this year’s awards.

LET’S face it, what the stars wear on the red carpet is just as important as who takes home the awards.
And not everyone nailed their look as much as Carrie Bickmore, with plenty of red carpet shocks.
The Project host showed off her incredible post-baby body, looking an absolute knockout in Adelaide’s Paulo Sebastian, just six weeks after giving birth to daugher Evie.
The four-time Gold Logie nominee, (check out all the winners and action from inside the Logies here), wore a dress by the same designer she chose for last year’s awards, and had her final fitting this morning.
“Fingers crossed it actually fits,” she told Sydney radio Kiis 1065.
“The one plus side of having had a baby is I now have boobs, so I’m going to go with that,’‘ Bickmore said.
“I admit it wouldn’t have been the first place I would have chosen to go out for the first time after having a baby, on the red carpet, but, you know, whatever.” When host Dave Hughes asked her if she was back to her “playing weight”, Bickmore replied: “Oh yeah, as if I’m back to my playing weight, but I’m OK with the fact I’m not.
“Let’s just say curvy is the way to go this year and I’m happy about it.”
With her six-week-old daughter and older son at home with her mum, Bickmore was looking forward to her night out but played down her chances of making of winning the Gold Logie.
“I don’t know, every year someone goes ‘it’s your year’. You know I’m just happy to be in the mix, I’m happy to be nominated,” she told AAP.
“If I don’t win I don’t have to get up and make an acceptance speech which fills me with absolute angst, so there’s kind of a benefit to not winning as well.”
Meanwhile, Asher Keddie was another new mum who looked incredible on the red carpet.
The Offspring star, who gave birth to son Valentino just two months ago, was wearing black full length Alex Perry. She told news.com.au of baby boy: “It’s amazing, it just all of a sudden happened. It’s been a big year for us.”
Keddie, who is nominated for a Gold Logie said she wasn’t expecting to win.
“I can’t believe I was nominated again, it feels like such a nod and a testament to how much everyone is still enjoying Offspring. So how cool to get it again, but I’m not expecting anything. I think it’s probably Carrie’s moment … who knows.”
With baby Sonny at home, Hamish Blake says he and wife Zoe are planning on letting loose tonight.
“Whoever wins, it won’t be me, but I will be hanging onto their coattails. My wife and I will hopefully be swimming nude in the fountain by the end of the night.”
If Andy Lee wins the Logie: “I’ll have to teach him how to look after the Logie, what type of bronze polish it enjoys, I’ll teach him how to care for it, what nappies to put on it, what to feed it.”
Kate Ritchie brought her lovely mum Heather as her Logies date and says she has only missed three Logies in her 23 years in the industry. And the Home and Away darling recalls every single night.

“Even if I wanted to forget to forget the Logies there’s this running commentary of awful photographs to remind me,” she joked.
“Mum and dad have been involved from the very beginning, driving me to Palm beach, and now that I’m a mother I finally understand how tough that can be, how challenging. They really did go above and beyond to allow me to do what I loved.”
Designer and Australia’s Next Top Model judge Alex Perry said he was most excited about the people watching on Logies night.
“It’s like a massive big wedding and everyone you’ve ever known in your life is here.” Perry says he dressed four beautiful women for the event: Gold Logie nominee and past winner Asher Keddie and models Megan Gale, Cheyenne Tozzi and Jennifer Hawkins.
Comedian Joel Creasey is planning to wear a Kenzo outfit and to walk the red carpet with fellow I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here contestant and bestie Chrissie Swan.
The Nine Network is screening Sunday night’s event live for the first time after previously telecasting the ceremony on delay.
