It appears Hollywood superstar Zac Efron definitely is here to stay.
The High School Musical heart-throb, who was first spied in his newly adopted hometown of Byron Bay in early July, is now looking at real estate.
Spies in the celeb-magnet Northern NSW hamlet, where Efron is now a regular fixture in cafes and restaurants, have confirmed the actor is seriously putting down roots and looking at buying a home.
He has already inspected at least one beachside property, however real estate sources say he was outbid at the last minute by a rival buyer.
But the actor is making no secret of the fact that he is set to join his pals Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky and make Byron his permanent, long-term home.
“He‘s quite open about it … he is in love with Byron Bay, there’s no doubt about that,” said one Byron local.
Like much of Hollywood, Efron has plenty of time to soak up some sun.
The actor is set to next star in the remake of Three Men and a Baby for Disney+, however production has stalled due to COVID-19.
