Brendan Jones and Amanda Keller’s radio contracts are up.
A fortnight after Keller’s reality TV show The Living Room was dropped by Ten, an event that coincided with her Ten contract lapsing, the popular presenter and her radio partner are in talks to ink a new agreement with WS owner ARN.
Sources indicated the process was a mere formality now with Jones and Keller set to re-sign for another two years.
2023 will mark the couple’s 18th year on air together in the breakfast shift on WS.
It’s a partnership record that equals that of ARN stablemates Kyle Sandilands and Jackie “O” Henderson.
The new contract will give Keller some breathing space as she evaluates opportunities around the TV dial.
Meanwhile Erin Molan was quick to shut down this column’s report in October 2022 concerning speculation she and 2DAY’s dreadful breakfast line-up of Dave Hughes and Ed Kavalee will be given the boot in 2023 after failing to build an audience in the radio timeslot.
Carrie Bickmore’s decision to leave Ten’s The Project prompted that speculation and Bickmore remained the subject of speculation last week as news broke that Chrissie Swan, Sam Pang and Jonathan Brown will decamp from Nova’s Melbourne breakfast line-up.
