Q What’s your favourite childhood memory of Sydney?
Long summer days and lunches at Watsons Bay, which is still a favourite spot of mine and my family.
Q What do you like to show off to friends or family who visit Sydney?
I always like to show off Sydney Harbour. There’s nothing else like it in the world! A magnificent day on a boat is the best way to really enjoy it.
Q What is your favourite family-friendly thing to do in Sydney?
We love going to Centennial Park with our daughter Azura. It’s a really fun day out for the family and there’s so much you can do from horse riding, bike riding to lunch, picnics — the list goes on and on!
Q What’s your favourite season in Sydney?
Summer. It’s when Sydney shines the brightest. We always try to hit the beach on weekends.
Q What’s your pet peeve about Sydney?
A Sydney traffic is my only pet peeve. It’s such a waste of time just sitting in it.
Q What’s your favourite Sydney restaurant?
Bar M Sydney (AKA Bar Machiavelli) for the very best Italian food and also its atmosphere.
Q Where do you enjoy favourite me time in Sydney?
My me time spot is one of Sydney’s many secret harbour beaches for some quiet time and R&R.
Q Where is your favourite shopping destination and who is your most loved designer?
David Jones, as it‘s a one-stop shop with all the best local and international brands.
Rebecca Vallance is one of my local fave designers; she really knows a women’s body. I love her structured tailoring and luxurious fabrics.
Q What’s is your most memorable sporting match in Sydney?
The Sydney Roosters 2013 NRL Grand Final win over Manly. It was a very special game. Mini (her husband Anthony Minichiello) was the Rooster’s captain and I was heavily pregnant with Azura.
Watching Mini hold up the premiership trophy is a moment I will never forget and will treasure forever! It was such and emotional and proud moment for our family.
Q What is the lead-up to Christmas like for your family?
For us, December is very busy — we have Azura’s birthday, we have my birthday on the 20th and then Christmas. So it’s crazy for everyone, I know, but especially crazy for us.
Q Speaking of Azura’s birthday, everyone always talks about the amazing parties you’ve thrown for her. What are the plans for this year’s party?
This year is more low-key, just her school friends and a few family friends. But I feel very pressured now to have to keep that standard.
The theme of her party is always her choice actually, this year it’s a ballet themed party and she’s lucky enough to always wear a custom Tutu Du Monde piece for her birthday, so she is a very, very lucky girl.
Q How is your husband Anthony Minichiello? We haven’t seen much of him lately.
He’s good, he’s OK. He’s actually just had some surgery — it’s just maintenance, he calls it, after being an athlete for all those years. And we are still building a house, so we’ve been really busy.
Q What is your focus at the moment?
Work-wise I’m actually having some time out but things will pick up soon enough. It’s actually nice to have some time out.
I also really want to enjoy Azura before she starts school next year full-time.
