Mel B confirms spice girls tour

WEIGHT-LOSS giant Jenny Craig has refused to confirm or deny whether it continues to support its embattled ambassador, Mel B.

The former Spice Girl has been accused in court papers filed in the US of bullying and parading sexual partners in front of her children and a judge recently ruled she had a booze and drug addiction.

However, the company has gone quiet, although it seemingly still supports the trainwreck singer.

Television ads using Mel B, who was reportedly paid more than $225,000 for the relationship which began in 2011, were still being played last month and she still has a presence on the company’s Facebook, YouTube and Instagram accounts.

When Sunday Confidential asked Jenny Craig’s PR team, Project PR, whether the company still had a relationship with Mel B and continued to support her, emails went unanswered.

“I have put your request in. I will let you know if I hear back,” Project PR’s Alicia Hall said.

This comes after the ACCC fined the weight loss clinic $37,800 for allegedly making false or misleading representations in its “10kg for $10” campaign run earlier this year featuring Mel B.

“We were concerned that Jenny Craig’s advertisements may have misled consumers into thinking they could participate in a Jenny Craig program and lose 10kg for $10, when in reality customers would have had to spend far more than that,” ACCC Commissioner Sarah Court said at the time.
