FORMER Spice Girl Mel B has accused her estranged husband of repeatedly beating her, forcing her to have threesomes with random women and driving her to attempt suicide during an allegedly violent 10-year marriage.
The explosive claims against Stephen Belafonte, which allege he slammed the singer’s head into a hardwood floor and got their nanny Lorraine Gilles pregnant before making her have an abortion, came to light when the Australian X Factor star filed a restraining order in a Los Angeles Court on Monday.
The star, real name Melanie Brown, claims she and her three children fear for their lives, filed for divorce from the American film producer last month citing “irreconcilable differences’’.
Since marrying in 2007, their relationship has been overshadowed by Belafonte’s chequered past and claims he had assaulted his wife.
Brown says Belafonte, with whom she has five-year-old daughter Madison, got family nanny Gilles pregnant and initially wanted to keep the baby, insisting “all three of us live together”.
He later demanded the nanny have an abortion and paid her $396,000 of Brown’s money for “alleged nanny services”, the singer said.
Brown says Belafonte also forced her to “participate in sexual intercourse with him and random women”, filming film the encounters.
And she says that when she tried to resist he threatened to release the sex tapes.
The singer also alleges in 2014, after she was “overcome with emotional and physical exhaustion”, she took an entire bottle of Aspirin. When she tried calling the emergency services, Brown alleges her husband blocked her and locked her in the bedroom “telling me to ‘die b ...’ ”.

“I have tried to leave the Respondent many times. Every time I tried, Respondent threatened me with violence and threatened to destroy my life in every possible way. He said he would destroy my career and take my kids from me,” Brown alleges in the court document.
According to TMZ, Brown cites three serious assaults in the past 10 years.
Belafonte denies all the allegations against him and says that he has been left “distraught” by the claims.
