First look at Farmer Wants a Wife: Sneak peak drops

No Sam Armytage. One farmer cut from the show after filming. Another who leaves midway through and two girls who don’t last 24 hours during the farm stay. This year’s Farmer Wants a Wife is a dramatic one.

The Channel Seven show returns to screens on Easter Monday, marking the return of Natalie Gruzlewski as host after Sam Armytage left Channel Seven.

Gruzlewski was the original host of the popular reality TV show, but for the past two seasons was replaced by Armytage and she took up a smaller “co-host” position.

However, with Armytage now set to host Channel 9’s The Golden Bachelor, Gruzlewski has returned to the forefront.

But her bigger presence isn’t the only change viewers will notice.

Even though he featured in the original casting call, one of the farmers, NSW professional bull rider Jack Rowlandson has been cut from the show.

Rowlandson filmed the entire series, but mysteriously was left out of the final edit with rumours swirling as to why.

In a statement, Channel Seven said “Eureka and Seven have decided not to include Jack Rowlandson’s storyline in the new season of Farmer Wants A Wife. We will not be providing any further comment.”

He’s not the only farmer to leave the show. Sources from the set told Confidential another Farmer leaves the series early.

While word from set is that 31-year-old Farmer Tom, a sheep farmer from Borambola NSW, had a rough start to his dating experience with two girls leaving his farm in the first 24 hours.

However when speaking to Confidential, the humble farmer wouldn’t be drawn on it, only saying the entire experience had been “beneficial”.

“I went on the show to try and find my perfect partner. I’ve watched the show before and it seems to work,” he said.

“[Dating] is not my strong point so I thought maybe they could help me out.”

It’s also understood that while less farmers feature on the show, it hasn’t impacted the love that has been found. A source on set said that the rate of successful relationships in this series is high.

Whatever happens with his love life, one of the other farmers, Jarrad Wrigly’s, music career is on the rise.

The country and western singer, who appears in the show, is about to embark on his first tour across NSW and QLD.

Wrigly will be performing at the home of country music, Tamworth, as well as popular Sydney country and music venue, Jolene’s.
