Victoria’s Secret model Victoria Lee says she’s a country bumpkin excited for summer
Victoria’s Secret model Victoria Lee is a self-professed “country bumpkin” from inland NSW so she can’t wait for summer, but her choice of swimwear might shock you.
Ushering in summer was a total tease for New York based model Victoria Lee, who rarely gets to see the ocean while living in the big city.
A self-professed “country bumpkin” from Narrandera, NSW, the former Victoria’s Secret model said it’s exciting to see fashion for the hotter months return because that is when Aussies are in their prime.
“There was never any ocean near me, it was always a novelty to go to the beach,” she told The Daily Telegraph.
“Every Christmas holidays my family would travel to Bateman’s Bay, so I grew up going to the ocean for holidays and because of that I have such a love for the beach.
“To welcome swim season back to Australia is so exciting because it means summer holidays, beach, family and friends — all of the above.
“In Australia summer is such a big part of our lifestyle and we kind of don’t know what to do in the cold weather. I just hibernate.”
Lee walked the runway at the Sydney Opera House on Thursday for the David Jones spring/summer 2019 preview.
Even though the 28-year-old has a body that landed her a spot on the Victoria’s Secret catwalk, she can’t go past a beautiful one-piece swimsuit.
“I love a good bikini but I’m a one piece girl,” she said.
“There are so many beautiful shapes, some are high waisted, some have beautiful back detail and prints and fabrics.
“I always feel really confident and comfortable in a well fitted one piece.
“It’s all about what you feel most confident in.”
