UK food star Nigella Lawson to return to MKR in 2023 with Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge

Channel 7 has announced the judges for the newest series of My Kitchen Rules and addressed the fates of UK culinary star Nigella Lawson, Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge.

MKR is seasoned this year with a sprinkle of MasterChef

Like any good dinner party, My Kitchen Rules has mixed up the hosts for its up and coming season.

Despite reports UK culinary legend Nigella Lawson would not return for the 2023 series, Kitchen Confidential can reveal Lawson will back. But only for the spicy end of the season: the finals.

In a shake up to the format, French-born celebrity chef Manu Feildel will be will be hosting and judging the competition alongside fellow celebrity chef Colin Fassnidge.

“I’m so thrilled to be back on MKR! It combines two of my favourite pastimes: championing home cooking and eating wonderful Australian food,” said Lawson.

Feildel has been a host and judge on all 12 seasons of the reality show, while Fassnidge joined the show as a guest judge in season four.

The two co-host and judge the New Zealand version of the popular reality show, which they filmed earlier in the year.

They will now commence filming on the Australian version this weekend.

The two mates, who spent Christmas together, will now travel across the country to meet passionate home cooks in their homes for the chance to be crowned MKR champions.

Lawson will then return for judging this season at Kitchen HQ.

Feildel said he was looking forward to another MKR journey. “I can‘t wait to meet our new teams, eat some gorgeous food and work with my good mate Colin, and it’s so wonderful to have my dear friend Nigella back to join us in Kitchen HQ. Superb!”

The return of My Kitchen Rules last year was a hit with viewers, attracting a total TV audience of 942,000 viewers and ranking #1 in its timeslot among people 25 to 54.

It will air on Channel 7 later in the year.
