Former NRL bad boy Todd Carney welcomed the birth of his first child on Saturday.
Carney, 34, and his girlfriend, former reality TV personality Susie Bradley, 26, announced the birth of their baby boy named Lion.
“Lion Daryl Carney. Born an Aries, March 27 2021 at 10.50am, 7 pounds 9.4 ounces, 50cm long on a perfect autumn day,” Carney wrote on Instagram.
“A lion’s most common traits are majesty, strength, courage, justice and might. A lion stands for both gentleness and power all rolled into one. A lion in your life enables you to bring positive changes in the lives of yourself, your family and your friends. We love you our little Lion. You will be one of the greats.”
Carney and Bradley began dating in 2019 and briefly split that same year before reconciling.
They sparked engagement rumours in October last year.
Newcastle Knights captain Mitchell Pearce accidentally let slip that the couple were expecting late last year.
Cosmetic nurse Bradley is also mum to a five-year-old daughter named Baby from a previous relationship.
