The competition is real in the Robards-Heinrich household.
Ambassadors in the Piper-Heidsieck marquee at the Australian Open, Bachelor couple Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich didn’t hold back about their prowess on the court.
“I can serve,” Heinrich told Confidential. “I’d beat Tim if he didn’t have coaching.”
In response, Robards joked: “I’m getting worse with age as Anna is getting better. We are pretty competitive, though, so we will see what happens on the court.”
It was a good mix of familiar faces in the marquee outside Rod Laver Arena, ahead of seeing Serena Williams on the court.
Model Louise van der Vorst surprised some by rocking up with ex-partner Jaime Robbie Reyne, the pair having split some time ago but appearing to be very much together.
Van der Vorst was even wearing one of Reyne’s suits.
“We’re just modern parents that are very good friends and we’re having a nice night at the tennis,’’ Reyne said.
“We love being parents to our gorgeous boy, who will be three very soon.”
Carlton AFL player Dale Thomas, Joel Creasey, Georgia Love and Sigrid Thornton were also in the marquee.
Actor Thornton usually watches the tennis on television so she was excited to be on ground.
“This is another world, a world of tennis fans who have come in from all over the world and that’s exciting,” she said.
